Terminal Objective:  At the conclusion of this course, the learner will be able to better manage work time and meetings and improve trust among colleagues the project managers and engineering departments using the tools, knowledge and skills learned in this course.

 

Learning Objectives:

  • To use time management techniques to control work interruptions

  • To build trust among colleagues and between departments

  • To run effective meetings that produce results and stay focused

 Course description:  In this hands-on course, the participants will be able to build on their current knowledge and practice new skills in time and meeting management.  The learning will use a variety of learner-centered activities to master the course content and immediately apply what they have learned aback at work.  These learning activities include: self-assessment via the DISC instrument, case studies, lecturettes, and work centered simulations.

  • Complete DISC assessment

  • Debrief on DISC assessment results

  • Applying DISC results to work place issues

III.  Time Management Techniques

  • Definition of trust

  • Trust destroyers
