The Cervico-Thoracic Complex Seminar
Presented by Therapy Network Seminars
This seminar will help clinicians identify common problems associated with neck pain as well as appropriate treatments. Evaluation procedures will also be introduced to group patients in treatment categories. Course DescriptionCOURSE DESCRIPTION Neck pain is present in a large portion of the population. Treatment of these patients can often be difficult, particularly when specific causative structures cannot clearly be defined. Attempting to treat neck pain without an attempt to classify the patient can lead to inconsistent outcomes and frustration for both the patient and clinician. Guiding strategies can help improve patient outcomes and lead the clinician based on the most appropriate evidence-based interventions. This seminar will help clinicians identify common problems associated with neck pain as well as appropriate treatments. Evaluation procedures will also be introduced to group patients in treatment categories. This classification system will assist the clinician in determining which patients will most benefit from specific treatment interventions and improve outcomes. Finally, eclectic treatment interventions will be covered including stabilization, manual techniques, and pain management strategies. Corrective home exercises will also be reviewed. Participants will walk away with practical and useful treatment techniques that can be implemented with their patients the very next day.
