Target Thinking: Inside & Outside the Box Target Learning, LLC
Delivery Method
Seminar
Target Audience Anyone who would like to think more critically and creatively - even when under pressure
Summary A 4 or 6-Hour Public Seminar to Help You Analyze & Implement New Information from a Critical (and Creative) Perspective
Description/Agenda
You will learn how to use your personal learning (and thinking) strengths to
effectively generate new ideas and coordinate old information while under
pressure.
Course Description/Agenda
- Do you have difficulty
thinking creatively under pressure?
- Do you find it difficult to critically examine a subject for an employer
or teacher?
- Do you have "blank moments" - you mentally phase out during conversations
or reading?
If you answered "yes" to any of these questions - relax, you're perfectly
normal. In many stressful situations, our high-level thinking skills tend to
become less of a priority to our brain (basic survival becomes the main
priority). So why do some people consistently excel under pressure? For the most part, they have developed coping mechanisms that take advantage of their
personal way of thinking. In other words, they have learned how to use their
personal strengths to coordinate new and old information more effectively.
In this seminar, you will learn how to use your personal thinking style to:
- Recognize and overcome the barriers to critical and creative thinking
- Identify problems at work before they occur
- Develop & implement creative (and practical) solutions to complex problems
- Stimulate critical thinking in team members, colleagues, vendors, and clients
- Listen for and assess key information accurately during meetings, classes, & discussions
- Collect, analyze, and process new information using multiple perspectives
Overall, you will leave this seminar with the mental tools to see beyond the obvious, and the confidence to handle creative projects under strict deadlines.
What makes this seminar different?
Most creative thinking programs provide activities to help participants "loosen up" - ostensibly to free their minds and allow the creative juices to flow. However, these activities are always conducted in a controlled training environment - without threat of consequence. As a result, many participants quickly discover, once they are back in their normal (real-world) work environment, it is not so easy to recreate those same free-flowing creative thoughts.
In our seminar, we will show you how to use your preferred thinking style and
your own unique personality to master the creative thinking process. As a
result, once you leave our seminar you will be able to call upon your own
cognitive strengths to quickly develop new and innovative ideas in any type of
environment.
What does each seminar participant receive?
During the Seminar
A Target Learning Participant Workbook which includes:
- All Target Learning thinking strategies
- Step-by-step guidelines for implementing the strategies
- Templates for note-taking to help you collect and analyze pertinent information
- Templates to help you remain organized and on time (before, during, and after)
- Color-coded dividers for easy reference to all the strategies
